Greetings from the Channel Islands :-)
Hi All,
I recently stumbled across the SFG method when researching how to grow a few tomatoes in my recently aquired 6x4 green house. 2 months later and am a complete convert and have gone form ambitions of tomatoes in a grow bag to 3 beds of 8x4 and a 2x6 and 2 x8!!! plus any extra containers I can lay my hands on lol :-)
Have to say i'm loving it and spending lots of time outside and with the family which is perfect.
Before I go and have a look around the forum, i just thought Id drop by and say hi first!!
If anyone is living in Guernsey and is interested in starting a seed swap/circle, I would love to hear from you!!
Kelly x

Kelly X Are you a native Channel Islander or a transplant. I never got around to visiting when I lived in Ebngland, now I am too far away, sigh!
It sounds as though you have the bug all right.

I missed seeing them too. Saw a lot in the 2 1/2 years I was posted there, but never any of the islands.
However . I am always facinated with how much is different and how much is the same. Did you have much trouble finding the ingredients for Mel's Mix. Do you have access to the book ALL NEW SQUAREFOOT GARDENING. It is the "how to manual" for gardeners on this forum.
OH, we LOVE pictures.

You clearly have the bug! The SFG way is addicting, isn't it?
There are several members here who are in the UK, but I haven't noticed anyone from the Channel Islands. Doesn't mean they don't exist...we have quite a few members who "lurk" without posting often.
If you haven't found it yet, look at the forum for Europe; Plantoid/David is the host of the board and he's very helpful. He lives in the UK. David has a glasshouse and a lovely garden with lots of beds raised up high so it's easy to reach, plus some fascinating containers.
If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. We have lots of people here who are always happy to help. Photos are always appreciated, so if you're able we'd love to see your setup.

Hello Kelly.. it looks like I've been rumbled and given up for sacrifice
Welcome to the site, I'm envious of your climate and the quality of the sea fishing around you.
If you haven't tried it yet try and get hold of a few barrow loads of seaweed for including in your compost heap .....it's magic stuff ... So good infact that " YOU COULD GROW A NEW BABY BROTHER OR SISTER IN YOUR ANSFG BEDS
