Another square harvested
Have been harvesting from my carrot square for awhile - probably used about 1/4 to 1/3 of the square. Decided that since I had another square of carrots besides this one I would pull them out and plant some green beans in the square and plant more carrots in a different empty square. I would think this was way too dull to even mention were it not that the people on this forum have a decided enthusiasm for this kind of thing. LOL.
These are Nantes half long.
Here is the take. That is my AAA card - charge card size to compare - and with 1/4 of the square already harvested got 18 decent carrots. Once I plant carrots I do not count, I just make sure they have enough space around them to grow.

Re: Another square harvested
They're beautiful! Thanks for sharing. It's kind of like baby pictures, don't you think? (Good thing we don't have as many babies as we do veggies, but you get the idea)
carrot question
How long from seed to harvest do your carrots usually take?

Re: Another square harvested
I believe I planted these in late December so they have been in the ground for awhile. I have been harvesting for about a month.

Those look good enough to reach into the screen and eat. Lucky you having carrots already. Enjoy.
