Bring on the suggestions!
Here is my first SFG plan. Please take a look at it and give me suggestions! I am trying to figure out what will start from seed and what I need to buy seedlings for. I have seedlings for tomatoes and know that I have to buy pepper seedlings and plant corn from seed. I also was told that the green beans need to be planted in pairs ("a boy and a girl")....

That's some pretty funny suggestion about the beans you got, because I was pretty sure that beans are self-pollinating. Anyone else know for sure?
As for the garden plan, it looks good to me! Have you got anything planted yet? You'll need to start from seed the carrots, radishes, beets, peas, turnips and corn, though you could also plant the lettuce and other greens from seed if you wanted to. If you haven't planted those already, I bet you should get on it. I'm in NY and my planting schedule had me do that a week ago.

I'm getting plenty of advice from non-SFG'ers. I thought the bean thing was funny, too. I probably planted 3 or 4 ("just a pinch") in each indoor starter cell but thinned them to one each (with scissors). I've got lots of seeds started but I have to go see what survived the giant bullfrog who sat on them during the night (I haven't gotten outside yet but my caregiver had to chase the frog away -- he thought I built him a brand new couch).
I should have started my 'lernin' earlier in the year because I'm finding stuff out too late (like I can't transplant corn!). Well, I AM a city girl.

Really what you do is just plant the seeds and don't worry about it. I am planning on sowing the beans in about 2 weeks here in our neighborhood.
Yes beans are self pollinating, but the bees do help.
Frogs and toads are good garden neighbors, they eat other critters that can cause you trouble in the garden.
