Brian here. New to SFG and the forum. Just getting started. Found everything I needed this weekend and built one 4x4 box. Got it filled with Mel's mix and now need to decide what to plant.

Hello noob SFG"er in VA 396615 To the Forum! What kind of veggies do you like? Just remember to keep in mind cool weather and summer crops. I don't know what zone your in or your last frost dates so I'm not much help. Have fun and let us know what you decide!

I used to live in Fairfax and alway planted my summer garden mid May to Memorial Day. I grew pole beans, tomatos, squash, collards, mustard greens, turnip greens and cukes. This was a long time ago and not SFG, but those plants did well in the area. I planted too late for broccoli to do much and never tried lettuce. Silly me. Embarassed

Welcome to the forum. You will find this method of gardening soooo much easier than the row gardening I used to do.

Kay
