Newbie Question on seed packets
I'm brand new to gardening and just getting ready to hopefully plant (what I can) this weekend. I went to Walmart this morning and picked up some seed packets for the varieties I'll be planting... but then I got home and it occurred to me - with seeds, do you get what you pay for? I got some really cheap packets, should I return them and opt for better quality (or more expensive ones)??

What are good brands to look out for? We have all the big box stores but also a specialty garden place that sells tons of seeds from companies that are not at the box store...

Naw it's all good, go with what you have. CONGRATULATIONS! You are so close to being a Gardener!

The main thing with seeds is that they actually sprout , then later put out food! So long as that happens, you'll be happy, since a SFG has all the nutrients needed inherent to the organic soil mix Mel recommends. Anything grown organically will taste as delicious as that variety can taste. Good luck! We love to see pictures around here!

Doesnt matter what they cost! I just bought some for 75 cents at local hardware as they have like to have a fast turnover!
BURPEE are good seeds, they sell them at all the good garden centers around here.
It could just be that there are less seeds in the packet. I bought some for 2bucks with thousands in and then cheaper packets with only a hundred or so.
