Bunny poop ok to sprinkle on top of vegetable garden?
Hi! I'm new to square foot gardening (and all gardening in general). I just planted 2, 4x4 gardens about a month ago and so far so good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! My daughter just got a bunny and I realized that all this poop the bunny is making might be great from my garden. However, I haven't started a compost pile yet (saving up for a composter that sits off the ground that I can crank). Can I take some of the bunny droppings and just toss it into the garden or should I save it up for when I start my compost pile and compost it? Thanks!

Rabbit poop is perfectly safe to put in your garden without composting. You can certainly put rabbit poop in your compost bin/pile/whatever and it will make some great compost.

Only use neat clean rabbit droppings ......no bedding or sawdust/shaving they have been on as it can contain seeds in the bedding if hay has been fed and the wood takes ages up to seven years to fully compost down to start making nitrogen itself.
Whilst the wood is breaking down it robs the beds of the nitrogen which plants need to grow and flourish .

If the rabbit poop has some shavings in it, you'll be fine to use it.

rabbit poop does not break down hot like a lot of manure. It and sheep manure can be applied without composting.
