How many per Square? Cosmos & Moonflowers
How many cosmos and morning glories/moon-flowers should be planted per square foot? And while I'm at it, how about artichokes?

If your moonflowers are anything like the morning glories I planted last year, I'd say at the most one per square or even one per two squares. Same with cosmos as it gets rather tall and bushy. But these are both my opinion, not based in experience.

Re: How many per Square? Cosmos & Moonflowers
Moon flower is beautiful but gets very large in the fall. I have some in my yard but not in Sq. foot beds. It needs a lot of room to grow. Maybe one plant every 2 squares. Even then it's going to take over your garden. Remember that they reseed themselves and you may have a hard time keeping them where you want them.
