Hey! I'm Brittiany and pretty excited about getting started, i have one 4x4 and one 3x2 box ready to go! Im worried about my soil because i got ahead of myself and didnt quite make it all the way in to the Mels Mix chapter of the book with specific measruement! Now Im off to buy my plants and flowers!

Welcome, fellow Tennessean!

If possible, it will be easier to fix your Mel's Mix now, before you plant. It is best to follow the "recipe" or you are more likely to have problems with your garden. If you haven't already seen it, you should read the post "Mel's Mix: How strong is your backbone" here for information and encouragement to start with good Mel's Mix.

If you wait to do it later, you will likely be disappointed with your results, and you'll have to then try to fix the MM while you have plants in place. It is much easier to do while the beds are still waiting for the first plants.
