Seriously? Well, I guess I'm glad I've been too busy nesting indoors to work on the veggie garden. What a crazy March!

Wow! It is really snowing now and has just dropped below freezing here. Glad the peas can take it, we will see about the lettuce. I may miss the rain, hail and light snow mix we have had the past week.

It is not often that I prefer the city to my mountain valley home, but March is one of those times. My sister-in-law, who still lives in Robe Valley, had 18 inches last time she went out to measure, and it was still snowing. I'm starting a tub of potatoes and a pot of snap peas - salad for her.

End note: For as long as I have lived in town (going on 4 years now) I have snow pictures from March, a few from April too.

March is usually our snowiest months here in Colorado. So far this March, we've had none. The wind has certainly been here! I would take snow any day over wind. UGH!! Evil or Very Mad

No snow for us lately (knock wood), but we've sure gotten our fair share of rain. People living higher than us (probably two miles from us) have gotten snow the past couple of days, and there are areas getting snow now. I'll take the rain over snow any day, provided it doesn't turn into ice. Mad

snow?!? Empty In crazy places

We were in 29 Palms CA over the weekend. We were rained on, sleeted on, hailed on and snowed on in the middle of the desert. Oh, and don't forget the high winds to boot. Insane weather this year... Shocked

Yep, snow. Started yesterday mixed with rain and was finally mostly snow and sticking by 9pm here. Woke up to lots of sad trees in the neighborhood that will need to have their branches tied up.

I take full responsibility. This is happening because I was going to build a hoop house for my garden and procrastinated. Sorry y'all.

Gwennifer...bad girl! LOL

One of the things I loved about Cincinnati was you could always expect an April snow. Snow overnight, maybe a little in the morning...a one day show...everything white and beautiful.

It would be gone just as quick.

One thing people don't realize about deserts is it means bitter cold at night, too (unless it's summer). There are no concrete structures to retain the heat. Out here (CA) it also mean crazy high-power winds from Oct to Mar.

The weather was awful last weekend. We usually get our rain in February. I measured an inch of it...a lot of this area (coastal). Sorry you had to endure it on your trip!
