PNW: Vancouver nursery, free Pruning class Sat. 3/10
FYI, Shorty's Garden & Home on Mill Plain here in Vancouver has a free pruning class this weekend. You are supposed to sign up though, so here's a link to their event page with their number or you can scroll down to sign up on-line: http://www.shortysgardenandhome.com/?cid=998
I'm not sure if I'll be attending. If I'm there, I'll be easy to spot - I"m the peapod wearing the four leaf clover.
Pruning 101 & Beyond

Steve Pirus is back again this year to offer a full immersion seminar in pruning basicas and beyond. Steve will cover tools, general approaches, and variety specific advice. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn an invaluable skill to put to use in your landscape. Proper pruning can truly enhance your outdoor spaces. A Q&A session will follow.

Thank you for sharing Gwennifer! I have enjoyed several classes on weekends hosted by Portland Nursery and I appreciate another place that offers classes. Shorty's Garden and Home has been bookmarked!

You're welcome! If you happen to be on the I-205 side of Portland, Shorty's Mill Plain location is a very quick trip over the bridge. If you bookmarked their page, you must have seen they have a lot of classes coming up that sound good. I want to go to the lawn care one to get localized information on organic lawn care now that I'm composting my lawn clippings. And I need to go to the fruits and berries one. And I did the miniature garden class last fall with my older daughter and it turned out so adorable that now I have to try to get to this next one with my younger daughter...

Gwennifer, thanks so much for posting, I sometimes get up to the Vancouver area, but unfortunately, not now.
Enjoy the class if you do attend.
