Re: seeds for 2012
newstart they look great,my seeds have goten off to a fast start as well, becarful with your water they get too wet real easy, keep them warm and close to the grow light I've got 280 starts in the kitchen now, guess the wife will get tried of them sooner then latter then I'll move every thing to the greenhouse they are looking good, some seed packs say 7 to 14 days for germination, I'm finding two to three days on watermelon and cantaloupe about 6 on tomatoes and 10 days on hot peppers:(

Re: seeds for 2012
ok since this is my first time really doing this. I have many questions. ill start with these first
1. When do I move them out of the box and into something else?
I have many seeds today that are touching the top of the box already.
2. I have one spot that has what looks like spider webs coming out if it. SHould I toss it is it bad or nothing to worry about

Re: seeds for 2012
How's your forecast? Down here we're clear of any freeze danger and I'm putting them straight into the garden. I know my friends in Conroe (north of Houston) always had their garden going strong by Spring Break, so I have a hunch you might be in the clear for planting as well.

Re: seeds for 2012
could be all right but I'm 2 hours north of Houston still to cold here:x last two years we have had a cold snap with frost on Easter week end so I would go with some cheap 3" peat pots and let them seedlings get a good start before going to the garden with them, just my two cents on the subject.elliephant wrote:How's your forecast?
