Garden pic
That was a pic of our 2010 garden. We started sfg in '08...and after 2 years, we fenced in a second area, doubling the size...had more boxes built...added a few new veggies...and had a great little garden. THIS year, we've expanded again...adding a 3rd fenced-in section.
The SUMMER garden in the picture had great yields of tomatoes, poblanos, jalapeños, cayenne, yummy sweet peppers, bell peppers, roma beans, black eyed peas, silver queen corn, russett & pontiac red taters, squash, cukes, sweet potatoes, big sweet onions, garlic, baby watermelons, okra, eggplant, oregano, basil, chives, cilantro, tomatillos, etc. The FALL & WINTER garden produced lots of cabbage, turnips, mustard greens, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, radishes and brussells sprouts.
We just this weekend planted tomato, pepper, squash, cuke and okra seeds in the greenhouse. Once we do the spring planting and begin to have some things growing, I'll post another pic showing the new addition. We have fun with the sfg and several neighbors have now begun doing a little of it themselves.
We live in the country with a home-based business...and great neighbors who share things from their gardens and kitchens with us as we do with them. I really enjoy reading the many posts that fellow gardeners make...and quote them often. Quoted Llama mama's "Llama Bean Tea" line and my neighbors cracked up. javascript:emoticonp('') One of 'em asked about the possibilities of raising Llama's here in Georgia.
Glad you enjoyed seeing our little garden...more later...cheers...elwo
