What is happenig to this tomato plant?
Can anyone help me with this? As with everyone else in my area ( Im in Zone 7a) my tomatos are not putting out any fruit. I am getting a large number of blooms but none are making it to fruit.
This pic is of a set of blooms on a Heirloom Boxcar Willie. I think this is the newset set of blooms that have come out. They have looked different from all of the other ones that have not made it. I was wondering what would lead to the yellowing/browning of the leaves and blooms on this stem. Why would this only be happening to this plant and none of the other 8 tomato plants I have? Why only this area of this plant?
Highs have been in the upper 90's-104 for at least the last 30 days straight. Last weekend I put up a shade cloth over my 6x4 garden to try and help keep everything a little cooler during the day. I am watering 1-2 times a day, keeping soil moist at all times.
Thanks for the help

Sounds like it just may be too hot. I hope the shade cloth works.

I worked commercial and agricultural pest control in California years ago and have seen similar wilting on stressed plants from either mites and fungus. Couldn't hurt to check for any possible contamination.

That's pretty darned hot for the tomatoes, but perhaps there are a few things going on. Here is a thread that addresses Tomato leaf curl.
