Cracked onions
My onions have started to crack. This is what they looked lik a couple of weeks ago:
This is the one on the left in the above picture today:
The tops are just starting to bend over but you can see they are still very green.. The weather here is very dry but not real warm yet. Mostly we have been getting into the low 80s. Water is drip, 1/2 gph emitters spaced 12" apart on for 20 mins/day. This has been a constant schedule since the last rain a month ago.
I assume I need to pull the cracked ones(there are 2 so far) and use fresh, right?
Any suggestions?
