Acara, there HAS to be something in the works to make this the ride of a lifetime for her.
Come in a limo drivers uni. Bring her roses. Take her to a scenic vista in some hospital window and give her another present. I think it'd be cool to have a little place in the hospital scouted already and have a little candlelit table waiting for her and music...better yet, a little band or something.
You have such an imagination; do something HUGE! You both deserve it. And, momma needs to feel special....not that she doesn't already I'm sure.

I tried already, but mama anticipated I would try to pull off some stunt & gave me very explicit instructions:
** Don't (&*^*)&%^ this up .... ****
Mama's worried my poor judgement and warped sense of humor might affect her chances of getting more "wheelchair passes"; so she's strongly suggested that I behave, keep within the speed limit, don't drive recklessly, stay on hospital grounds, keep in the one hour time limit keeep my mouth shut, etc.
I may try to pull off something on any subsequent wheelchair passes though

Just be a good boy then, acara, and do as you're told. (asked).
You really have a no-nonsense lady there. Good thing too. Men need guidance.

Have you been taking her home grown tomatoes? Guy Clark wrote: "Only two things money can't buy is true love and home grown tomatoes!" Bet you have both bases covered. So glad for all three of you.

This mamma has had baby fever for the last couple years pretty bad...we went to the local farmers market today and it seemed every chunky-budda-bellied-milk-drunk-baby was out there today. My uterus hurts. Made me think of you a lot today and I sent many a good "stay-put-baby" vibe your way Acara and Acara mamma.

Re: Another off topic, inappropriate post from your admin...please forgive
Yup, just borrow a baby for a few hours and the "want one" issue goes away! My youngest baby is 21 but the youngest grandbaby is 23 months. NO WAY do I want another baby rofl....
I love being able to borrow the baby and get a baby fix but I LOVE sending them back to momma!

Once again, I'll never understand you women.
You've had several, and you still get the pang? Apparently, God didn't do us a service when he allowed us to forget pain as time passes.
Babies are cute and all, but as a proud pappa, I've been there....done that. I wish they all popped out 3 and potty trained. But, if that was how things worked, we'd all live in shoes.

Re: Another off topic, inappropriate post from your admin...please forgive
Thursday update ...
We're at week 31 today & mama & baby are doing well.
According to ultrasound, Connor weighed in at approx 4 lbs yesterday & is officially larger than any of my tomatoes this season
Also found out that he's flipped for the moment and no longer breached.
Tenative plan is to spring mama from the hospital next week & get her into home care for a week or two, until the circlauge comes out. Mama's cervical length is only 8mm, so that may/may not be realistic, a week from now, since the circlauge stitches are about the only thing keeping baby put.
After next week we'll transition from the hi-risk OB/GYN to our "regular" delivery physicians.

Yea Week 31 and a 4lb baby. I'm guessing odds have dramatically inproved. The 32 chant is still going on. In addition to giving Connor a better chance, I want a labcoat BBQ.

New mantra? 5 pounds, 5 pounds, 5 pounds. You guys are to be congratulated, you must be doing everything right. Conner is a very lucky guy to have such dedicated parents.
