Pepper plants eaten? Empty Pepper plants eaten?

Post  jsavolt 6/23/2010, 11:03 am

I have several banana pepper plants that have lost all the bottom leaves. I assume this is a bug but don't see evidence of bugs. I do have a lot of slugs in the garden because we have gotten so much rain. Do slugs eat pepper plants? Ideas appreciated!

Mine got eaten by slugs/snails; I found the slimy trails on one so I'm pretty sure it was them. On one of the eggplants next to it they not only ate the lower leaves, but ate the bark off the stem!!!

Yep, they eat pepper plants. I'm getting ready to make a purchase of beer, Japanese Beetle Traps, and (while not buying) pennies (as per the penny trick I read the other day on the forums). I whacked two slugs off my raised bed the other day, I'd much rather deal with those things than the beetles.

Why can't we all just get along? You stay away from my stuff and I shall not kill you, easy peazie.
