Garlic - First of May garlic Empty First of May garlic

I thought I would share a photo (we like pictures here) of a couple of rows of my garlic. My plants are doing very well this year. This is all ophio garlic (hardneck) and scapes have not yet appeared. They're over hip-high and visibly seem to grow every day. 

Also included is a man outstanding in his field. 

And I can't understand why the image is rotated 90 degrees. Best seen laying down, then.

Emily, garlic is usually planted in the fall, around Oct 1.
