mysterious plant ?
I'd sure like to know what this plant it. Don't recall planting it, I usualy place stickers with mine. Deer like it, I've never seen any around here before...and I really don't want to remove it..looks as if it could turn out to be a really nice item.

Re: mysterious plant ?
I have tried to find it on Google Images, and I am coming up empty, Jimmy. It looks like it is supposed to be there, LOL! At first I thought St. John's Wort, but I don't think the flowers are right.
Mystery plant is right. Maybe someone else will know what this flora is!

Re: mysterious plant ?
It looks very much like a poisonous plant we discussed a couple years ago. Can't remember it's name or the thread. I hope not. Will try to dig around.
Dug around - can't find it.

Maybe it's a foreign invasive species and you are the point zero.

Re: mysterious plant ?
Jimmy, can you get a close-up picture of one of the flowers? I can't make them out & I have a handy-dandy plant ID book that might help, but I need to get a good look at the flowers.

I have Newcomb's Wildflower Guide.
IDs Wildflowers, Flowering Shrubs, and Vines of Northeastern and North Central North America.
According to how I interpret this flower, it is indistinguishable.
Flower is Toothed edged and it should be in the wildflower category.
I recall planting a butterfly weed there, however I thought I took it out because of not growing, that was last June and I don't remember
A vine ? no can't be that, it's growing and has many sections .
The flower is yellowish and I don't know if it is just immature, or weather has slowed growth down.

Re: mysterious plant ?
Took a picture down to PA. States Ag office today and the agent verified. Swamp Begger Tick Plant. He told me it's
not a rare plant locally.
I'm just happy I found it before it passed on. It is an annual so maybe seeds will develop next season, thanks for all your help.
