Newbie from New Zealand!
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! :-)
I've just 'discovered' the Square Foot Gardening philosophy and as someone who has dabbled unsuccessfully in doing my own vege gardening before, I was really excited to discover SFG and see everyone's successes! :-) It's VERY inspiring! Thank you all, and "watch this space". :-)

Re: Newbie from New Zealand!
Sally, Welcome to the Forum from California US! So glad you have discovered SFG. Have you read the book All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew, or did you find this Forum in your search? It is such an easy way to garden. One word of caution, it's addicting!! Please post photos of you journey. We love photos, especially from the southern hemisphere while we in the northern hemisphere are freezing or snowed in.
Re: Newbie from New Zealand!
Welcome Sally. This is a duplicate welcome as I read your post on another thread.
I think most newcomers miss this welcome thread and make their first post in another unrlalted thread and we catch that they are new because of the number of post they have made. 1, 2 or 3 etc.

Re: Newbie from New Zealand!
Sally,
I have a friend in the Land of Oz and her hubby just got started gardening now that he's retired. Their season is NOW, unlike us, who are buried in snow here in Maine USA today.
Good luck.
