Pinching tomatoe blossoms

I may have done a bad thing. I have tomatoe plants that have been in the ground for 2 1/2 wks. The plants are about 10 inches. All four plants had a blossom set growing. I pinched them all. I felt the plants were too small to have them blossoming already. I can't find any info that I done the right thing. Has anyone else had any experience with this? I didn't harm my plants growth did I?

You did fine. The plants will now put some more energy into making roots which in turn will make a stronger plant and more fruit.

Tomato plants are heavy feeders so after they make the larger root system, you may need to top dress the bed with a good quality compost.

Take heart ltree74! I try to pinch out the first blossoms on all my tomato plants. In fact, I'll pinch out blossoms that aren't where I think they should be, or fruiting will stress the plant. Excellent results so far.

Oh is this something I should do? I have about 1 foot plants and a couple have blossoms?

I wouldn't remove them either. How tall do your pea plants get. The ones they sell down here in Ga only get a few feet tall. They do not even need trellising. (I use small sections of a border fence about 2 feet tall to support mine). I was surprised when I first saw everyone talking about trellising their peas. I guess the variety sold further north can get real tall. So you might have a variety that does not get real tall.
