Hi, my name is Erin and I have started my first real garden. I am sooo excited and exhausted at the same time. It is so much work to get a garden started. I never realized how much was involved. Wow! I have been reading and learning so much. I have been a lurker for quite a while. We had already started the garden when I discovered Mel's book. We now have 4 4x8 beds filled with Mel's mix and we have built numerous other beds filled with 6 different types of compost and a few other amendments, I guess you'd call them. I have started numerous seeds and have them under the lights and a few have already been planted out. It is all so rewarding. And the excitement you get when the little seeds are popping up, I just love it. So my family thinks I'm crazy! But so what, this gardening thing is AWESOME!!!
