got garlic?
Got this from my wife's grandparents' house. I don't think it's elephant garlic but you could have fooled me!!
There's enough to eat AND make any antivampire weapons I may need

Re: got garlic?
Would I be correct in thinking that was fall planted and not this spring. Either way it's nice garlic.

Re: got garlic?
It looks great. Even if it isn't elephant garlic it's certainly big enough to keep elephants away as well as vampires.

Re: got garlic?
My garlic is just starting to show a little brown tip on the leaves. This is my first year growing garlic so I have no idea when it will be harvestable!

AWESOME GARLIC!!!!
Cindylou, when the tops are brown half way down, pull it. Simple enough to remember!
dmsandlin, how was your weather yesterday, you get any of the rain/storms that blew through?

Re: got garlic?
FV, it thundered around us but no rain fell on my square foot of heaven. It's getting a but dry since we haven't seen rain in a week or two. If this lasts much longer I'll need to borrow a drum and some feathers so that I can perform a rain dance. Even if no clouds show up, the neighbors may start stretching their hoses over and watering for me so that I'll stop the chanting and dancing in the front yard! I ain't proud and when you have 330+ sq ft (veggies & flowers), free water is free water!
Speaking of watering, I know there are others out there who have more than just 4x4 beds. I need to start another thread asking about watering practices and see if I can improve on my current system.
