Garlic in SW Ohio
Hello All. I have a question for anyone, but specifically for those living in south western Ohio. I want to grow garlic, but I cannot find bulbs anywhere! I meant to order them online, but I forgot, not to mention when I did browse the bulbs were more expensive than I thought they would be, especially to pay shipping on top.
So, does anyone know of places you can go and buy garlic bulbs for the garden?
I know there are two types, soft and hard neck and I think should use hard neck in my area.
Thank you!

If you are hard up to find garlic to plant in the garden you can plant garlic from the grocery store! Just put it in the fridge to get it to start sprouting then plant it!

Yup that is what I did the first year to see if I could do it! Then budgeted for garlic the next year. Now I don't have to buy it I have plenty for seed!

I planted some old sprouting grocery store garlic cloves last month and it's growing. Color me surprised! Will they make buds or should I just use the greens?

Garlic should be planted in fall, will live through the winter sometimes, and will sprout again in spring. Harvest in early summer when the tops turn brown. I plant these 9 to a square... And that reminds me, I need to do that soon...
