My Meyer Lemon tree is not looking so good. In Texas we had a summer drought, a winter freeze and now a heavy rain. I picked about 20 wonderful lemons but shortly after the freeze my lemon tree leaves are looking ugly. Looking at leaves some are very green with a fading yellow and a brown spots around the center vein and others follow with brown out from the center vein. Could this be just from the freeze a month ago or is it some other deficiency? I tried to post some photos I took but it didn't work.

I raised my Meyer Lemons in a very different environment than you. Here in the PNW my little trees would look dead, losing their leaves to cold and low light levels. Just when all seemed hopeless and I sadly thought they should be tossed out, I would awake to the perfume of blossoms and notice that nearly over night the trees grew mouse ears.

I vote that you leave the trees be (except that this is a good time to root prune potted trees). Let them rest with light amount of water, more mist really (but don't let the soil turn to dust). I mulch potted trees with the fallen leaves. In the PNW I usually got fresh buds about Valentine’s Day.

Debs.....here’s to many days of puckering up.

(by the way, I did lose my trees to snow one year after they put out tender new growth, but not to frost which they seemed to make themselves ready for by dropping leaves.)
