Sowing Onion Empty Sowing Onion

I sowed onion seed yesterday, Sturon, indoors in modules with several seeds in each module. The idea is to let all the onion plants that germinate grow together as a clump, then in March, plant out the clump, as is, into a square (mine are 30cmx30cm). The theory is the onions will push each other apart to find their own space. Never tried it before but I will be interested to see how it works out. Very Happy

NORM! Long time no see. How goes things in the great white north of Europe?
Your theory is sound, this is how I grew my leek seedlings last year. I am planning on doing onions again this year, but my season is so short that I will probably end up just growing my own starter bulbs for 2013. Fingers crossed for good results in everyone's garden!! I am going to be planting my onions and leeks in another 3-4 weeks. It is hard for me to wait, but wait I must...
