Sidebar to the Fortunately game
1. After many years, I might finally get the spelling memorized for the word 'fortunately' by the time the game is over because I insist on putting an 'e' after the 'n'.
2. Martha's going to be P.O.ed that she missed this one! That'll teach her to leave town for the holidays!

The only way I could remember from grammar school was
fortun ATE ly, it made sense to me as a little kid and stuck.
How about more silliness, would For TUNA Tely work?? See, I am so easily entertained.....

Hah,
Amanda is a tiny village (pop. about 800) compared to the "big" place like Akron! But nevertheless, there's the Ohio connection.

aww...jeez...louise...you caught me in the only mistake I've made in...fortunately...the last 20 minutes!
Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to blame it on Martha or Sherry!

Re: Sidebar to the Fortunately game
Well, boffer, I followed right along and made the same mistake of calling them alpacas! So, I did goof, too!! And that's pretty bad, considering her name is llama momma, huh?
I even STILL wanted to spell it alpalca - that's just the way I want to keep pronouncing it!
Sorry, llama momma! (But I bet alpacas are nice, too!)

Thanks for the fun.
I still have a couple more gifts to wrap and still baking some freakin cookies and gingerbread men. Time is going quickly.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Laughter is good! We all need it and I'm glad I could provide you (and anybody else) with some good laughs. If we can't laugh at ourselves, life would be pretty sad.
Merry Christmas, all!!!

Re: Sidebar to the Fortunately game
I'm here for another brief moment while my in-laws in-laws open gifts.
Boffer, I'm sorry I wasn't here to bail you out of a jam. It wasn't very Christmas-y of me. I'll try to do better in the new year.

Yes, martha, I thought I showed remarkable restraint in my reply!
Edited to add: Well, I thought you were talking about the women bullfighters remark, but I'm not so sure now - 10:22 a.m.?
