I was hoping you were talking about a dirt bike and not a street bike, but apparently not.

As the proud owner of a piece of paper that says I rode 100,000 miles on BMW motorcycles, I still would have broken my son's legs to prevent him from riding a street bike.

Exceptionally good motorcycle riders get permanently injured or killed while sitting, waiting for a red light to change to green. No matter how good a rider he convinces you that he is, he's still at the mercy of every single automobile in sight.

This video just aired yesterday morning on our local news and supports Boffer's statement. Yes, the guy riding the green bike was being a dumb*ss in my opinion anyway, but they were pretty innocent in the whole ordeal. I don't know how the guy in the truck didn't see them to cause this...(not grotesque at all....even the weakest stomachs can watch this vid without fear)

I'm looking at getting another bike this spring. I'm going the Supermoto route this time as it fits my lifestyle better at the moment. It's basically a dirt bike with street benefits
I'm way over the Harley thang...soon as it became a status symbol, I was over it. Boffer, I love the Bmw bikes. I don't really know anything about them other than they look saweeet!
Crotch rockets...been there, done that. Love em. Love the speed. Love the looks. Love the sound. I will never own another one though. I get that speed under me and just go nuts.
Granny has a 1972 red, white, and blue Triumph sitting under wraps up in her garage that I drool over! Its a beautiful bike. I want it. So do lots of other people willing to pay big bucks for it...

No, my boys ride their little Honda 50 cc bikes around here. I just want a lil sumpin to toodle around here with and play with them and save on gas to and from my work vehicle.

I love bikes and I guess I have to admit, I will discourage my boys as much as I can about street bikes too when and if they get the urge to go that route.

I hired a fence company to put a 3-rail split rail fence in since OCT!! Well, with all this rain , it's FINALLY being put in tomorrow am and since the long wait, They lowered the price back down to 2 rail price. I instantly became $200 richer. I now have the funds for my garden expansion. !!!!!!

BUT that does comes with potential problems - I now have to come up with some way to keep my greyhound out of the garden.

Madnicmom, I am sure someone here will have the answer!

PS - I went to a restaurant in Boston and had the tasting menu. One of the courses was accompanied by olive oil ice cream. It was really, really well done.

Well, it's already started. They just finished the fence and I've busted Kane laying in one empty bed and digging in another one.

Dog owners: What have you done to prevent this? I'm already thinking of putting cattle panels up or something like that to fence in the garden.
