Shady Garden Possibilities?
I have a limited amount of full sun square footage but would like to expand my garden.
Does anyone have a list of veggies that do well in partial or full shade?

Re: Shady Garden Possibilities?
Vegetables in general do not do well in shade. Possible exceptions are lettuces, which do not like excessive heat. If possible, you might consider optimizing your sun with some reflectors made of aluminum foil mounted on cardboard or something. Not terribly attractive but I think it would help. This is Clare science 101 though so it is more an educated guess than a tried or true method.
Re: Shady Garden Possibilities?
How much partial sun do you have? I have grown strawberries surprisingly successfully (how's that for alliteration?) that get cast in the shade pretty early in the afternoon.
I'm working on figuring out what else should/could/might work in a spot close by, that will get several hours of direct sun, but also lose it to the shade of a large tree early in the afternoon.

I think someone previously posted this on the Forum, but I couldn't find it to give them credit:

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Shady Gardening...
This is a fact of life for me! (A 3-story building on the adjacent lot, and 5 very tall trees in neighboring yards.)
We've succeeded with many plants discussed on the site which KSRoman recommends. Careful observation of the Sun's path, and placement for maximum exposure helps!

Re: Shady Garden Possibilities?
In Germany I saw more than a few gardeners using aluminum (I guess) "reflectors" to maximize the sun.
Here's are 2 articles about using MYLAR BLANKETS
or MIRRORS to increase sunlight.
