Not wanting to be accused of threadjacking, I thought of this thread on my way to the grocery store....

This morning on my way to the grocery store, I was searching around for a chicken farm to maybe score some chicken manure. Well I couldn't remember the address so I turned around. On my way back to the store, I drove on a section of the road that was lined with a lot of pine trees on one side. Underneath the trees, I saw a heck of a lot of dried needles. I remember that pine needles can be composted so I parked my car and got a box otu of my trunk. I scooped up as many pine needles that would fit in the box.
In my trips to the grocery store in September, I would notice that they had trash bags filled with corn husks. Needless to say I took them home, chopped them up with my lawn mower and added them to the compost bin. I've also purchased really old-looking fruit and veggies at a big discount and added that to the compost bin as well.
Like I said in another thread, I am always on the lookout for compost ingredients wherever I go. LOL

I don't go that far, but my neighbors did bring over a couple jack-o-lanterns.
