I figured this is the best place to put this thread.....

Anyway, I just got myself a new gardening toy yesterday. It's a electric(corded) blower/vac. Wow....it does an awesome job of shredding leaves! Previously I would just run over the leaves with my lawn mower and dump the bag into the compost bin. It did an ok job but the vac shreds the leaves to bits!

It cost me about 60 bucks but it's worth every penny.

What model did you get? I think it might go on my Xmas wish list, after a dehydrator.

It is a Black and Decker LH4500. I got it at Lowes. They had it on special last week for 60 bucks, and even though the sale was off, they still gave it to me at that price.
You're not going to be able to chop up tree branches or anything, but it seems to do a good job on little twigs. I wouldn't recommend making a habit out of that though. As far as vacuuming and chopping up leaves, it's awesome. Just be sure you get an extension cord that can carry the current the blower needs.
