Plywood for bottom of bed
Hi. I am planning on raising my SFG about 30 inches off the ground.
1) How long will plywood last under it before rotting and needing to be replaced?
2) is there a better option than plywood?
3) Has anyone used eco wood treatment to protect this wood?
Thanks!

RE: Plywood for bottom of bed
I had the same question as you. The garden where my raised beds reside has suffered frequent flooding this season. I plan to place the beds up on blocks but do not like the thought of using plywood. Hardware cloth comes to mind (and is used by boffer). The half-inch cloth is considerably cheaper than quarter inch and is probably OK. Another possibility is lattice, preferably vinyl lattice. And a third material is metal lath used for plastering. It comes in 27" by 96" pieces and one piece would be sufficient for a 4x4 box. With any of these materials you could use furring strips to reinforce them at key spots to prevent sagging
