I've been a little garden obsessed lately, and in my craziness, I went to project Gutenberg to look for free garden books. While I was looking around, I found a book called My Summer in a Garden, which is a compilation of weekly articles written in I think 1870. It's very witty, and so interesting to read what the writer is doing in his traditional row garden. And about how he's practically addicted to using soot as a bug repellent on his plants, to the point where he practically can't see them anymore.
It's totally free, and you can read it in your browser, on your Kindle, or on any gadget you have that has the free Kindle app.
