You guys are funny! Thankfully I don't have to worry about school for anyone! I just have to make sure hubby gets out the door in time for work.
Re: Just sayin'..
I just have to make sure that I leave a few minutes earlier for work so I don't run down all the kiddos walking to school!

I went to the coolest pub after lunch. I did "some" work in the morning and took off to research a charity idea I have to benefit autism.
There is a pub/grill that has golf simulators inside! I went to demo the simulators with the owner. He has been open 6 months and has yet to host a tournament. I figure I can get 40 guys together by early next March (when everyone is itching to play golf again). The proceeds can go to charity.
He can do closest to the pin, longest drive, everything. The simulators are remarkable, too. I used to play a lot of golf competitively, so I can attest to the accuracy of the machines based on what I did while toying around. They really work. And, the graphics allowed me to play Pebble Beach, Royal St. Andrews, and TPC Sawgrass. I got to take my hacks at the famous island green 17th! Video game-ish, but pretty cool. I was testing the accuracy of swing simulation, though.
I'm hooked. So much so, I had TWO beers while there...lol. But, I wouldn't have gotten the chance with the kids home. So, yesterday had a bit of "freedom" to it that I haven't felt in 3 months. Calgon, take me awaaaaaaaaaaaay.
GG, as for running the kids down at the bus stops......you get 10 points for every person walking a dog, 25 for kids on bikes, and 5 points each for Bus Stop Bowling (catching them grouped together like bowling pins).

Dang! We don't play that game with the younger generation but with Miami Univ -Ohio just up the road. They are worth 100pts!

To go one step further, I don't give "senior discounts," either. The slow ones aren't worth much because there's really no challenge. However, the ones you can make hot-step-it across the street are worth quite a bit. And, if you can get one carrying the grocery bags, but only nip the grocery bags.....that's worth about 500 pts.
(Yes, I know I'll be old one day. It's just a joke. Btw, I was a kid once, too.)

We are on our 3rd week of school, we homeschool so sending them to school does not give me a break. I don't know what I would do by myself all day, it's been so long.

I don't have kids, but I remember some time ago seeing this commercial and thinking that most parents must feel this way come the beginning of the school year:

Re: Just sayin'..
Couple tips (from one apple to another apparently):
-Wait till college!...just sayin'.
-Continuing to dance while girls are laughing is not a good thing. It quickly makes you a "friend."
-Dancing to make girls laugh only solidifies the "friend" nametag, especially since you have a talent at making them laugh (as did I).
Not that any of that matters in the long run. Just a couple pearls I thought I'd toss back your way from someone about 20 years further down the same train tracks. I found it hilarious, but I know how it ends.
Now, you will find me correct in about 5 years. And, you will pass the same sage wisdom to youths when the time is right for you. But, by then, you will have found your soulmate that accepts you (as does mine) for some crazy reason that cannot be explained and long ago realized all the "trying to impress" or "worrying about girls" was a load of dooky. It's just not important.
Continue to have fun! School just sets up real life. And, if you can have that much fun in school, you can have more than that much in real life. You just have to DECIDE to. Awesome stuff!

Re: Just sayin'..
Aw jeez, the kid can dance too. A good fifteen years ahead of me.
If we're passing down words of wisdom from generation to generation, this kernel of truth is as relevant as when I learned it. There's no easier, cheaper, faster, or more fun way to *accomplish your objective* than by taking a woman out dancing...but ya gotta hold her in your arms sometimes and make her feel like Ginger.
Just sayin...
*accomplish your objective*=if that is over your head, you haven't started shaving yet.

Re: Just sayin'..
Hey Bof, you first might want to explain which Ginger you are referring to. He may have seen old reruns of Gilligan Island but I know which Ginger you are referring to and He is WAY to young to know the name. ..... Just Sayin......
On a side note: Bof, I got your back with the poll. Good Luck my friend.

Ginger or Mary Ann=win win!
Who was the better dancer? Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers?
She was, of course. She did everything he did, going backwards, in high heels.

Mine don't go back till the 6th! But you know what??? I am going to get a pedicure as soon as the mall opens that day, and a huge mocha from the coffee shop! And I am gonna relax!
