Tomato seeds are not what I planted.....
Why can't the seed package be what it says???? I planted romas, opalka and cherry. That is all I wanted. But nothing is growing the way it should. I put an Opalka (or what I thought was one) in a massive planter in the front of the house as a decorative plant to climb the trellis. What do I get? Definately not an indeterminate.
I have yet to see a cherry tomato and one of my so called Roma plants is growing extremely round tomatos. I am very particular in labeling my seeds as they grow. I am a type A personality---I can't handle this!

Don't feel too bad, I have not yet had a red tomato either and I am in a similar zone. They are coming, don't fret. You may have Romas that are a bit rounder than oval, but at least you have tomatoes on the vine! HOORAY!

Sounds like whoever packed the seed packet was not worried about getting it right!

milaneyjane,
I'd email the supplier and tell them what happened. If you can provide a picture, so much the better.
I did with 2 packets of Vernandon filet beans I bought whose germination was just about nil. They happily replaced them with 2 new packets of Nickel filet beans saying they'd had other complaints on the Vernandons. I'm saving the Nickels for next year. I have some in my SFG right now that are growing just fine since I had bought both varieties originally.
Write them and let them know you are unhappy. They'll probably send you new seeds which you can save in the fridge for next year, or a credit so you can buy what you want next year.
