Water up top or down low?
Does anyone know if it's better to set a hose in and water the under the leaves of the plants, or use a sprinkler. In the past, after using a sprinkler, my plants leaves have drooped and they've not looked good. ??? Maybe a dumb question???

Re: Water up top or down low?
In general, veggies do not like to have wet leaves. Wet leaves increase the odds of powdery mildew, fungus, and make the plants more susceptible to insect infestation. Whenever possible, water the ground at the base of the plant and avoid watering the leaves. It's the roots that need the water, not the leaves, stem, or blossoms. It also best to not water late in the evening or at night. Wet leaves over night increase the risk of problems even further as the water doesn't evaporate as quickly without sunshine.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
