Horned caterpillar- oh my gosh!
I just saw my first horned caterpillar. Creepy looking. Freaked me out and I pulled the leaf it was on an threw it out of the garden without killing it. Silly me....I'll probably see it again. Suggestions on what I can spray to discourage them from eating up my tomato plants?

I don't usually spray. I just pick off the monsters and squish them.
Usually if there's one, there's probably more. Keep looking! Probably depends on how far you threw him, as to whether he comes back. Here's to hoping he doesn't.

Thanks Denese. I'm going to look good and probably really spray with the soap insecticide. I'm also battling beetles and have been out just now flicking them into soapy water. Not sure why the birds aren't chowing down on these bugs! One good note, I am seeing bees of which I'm really grateful!

You can just drop those little monsters in your soapy water along with the Beetles. They'll drown as well. They usually aren't a whole lot of them, so I'd just pick them off instead of spraying for them.
