New member from Danmark
Hi,
My name is Jean and I live in Danmark, I've got a garden last year and am going to build sq.ft. raised beds. At the moment I am growing in containers on my patio, and am getting tired of cutting the lawn, so it has to give way to raised beds. I do have a strawberry bed, the plants will eventually be moved into raised beds.
Last year I grew, strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, blackberries, onions, potatoes, chard, salads, and I have a wonderful apple tree, which gives pink fleshed apples, I don't know what it is called though. This year I have included chillies, melons and pumpkins. I look forward to learning about growing my own food.

Jean. It is wonderful to have you join us. So happy to hear about your garden. We have several members on the forum from European countries.
Have you read the All New Square Foot Gardening Book by Mel Bartholomew? It is worth investing in a copy since his suggestions and methods that he has devised over the years work so well.
Growing your own food is so rewarding. Best of luck. Keep in touch and don't be afraid to post questions and comments and also photos. We love them.

Hi Jean:
I am arriving in Copenhagen on Thursday and I will be there for 2 weeks. I am very excited since I have not been to Denmark.
The All New Square Foot Gardening book by Mel Bartholomew is available in English from Amazon.de, .fr & .co.uk. I'm not sure which would be the easiest for you.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
