And don't cut the vine Sad

At least it wasn't the main vine of my thriving Tatume squash. It was a side vine, albeit one that was quite long and vigorous.

Oh, no! Sounds like you have had my kind of morning. If it makes you feel better my 2 year old just dug up all of my lettuce and chard seedlings and then shattered the screen on my ipad.

Think of it this way, now the energy is all going to go to the main stem & maybe you will have bigger/better fruit.

petals, sounds like one of my kids was at your house, of course mine are older that could not be them. My husband once bought a $30 remote, I told him he was nuts, sure enough 1 week later we found out it is not flushable. I know the remote did not cost as much as your iPad, but I could by a store of those things with the things my kids have destroyed. Which is why I taught my grandson to let the air out of his daddy's tires, smart kid too, those are the only tires he messes with.

FarmerValerie, anything electronic is very frustrating when it gets broken especially the remote. My ipad is still under warranty so there is a slight chance it may be covered. My son once stuffed a ruler into the dvd drive on my MacBook and they replaced it for free.

Yes, good thing it was not the main vine. Sorry to hear about the miss snip though, I think everyone does it at least once.
