Acorn Squash Question Empty Acorn Squash Question

Has anyone grown 'Table Ace' Acorn Squash? I was wondering how big the plant gets and also if it can be grown on a trellis. It is listed as semi-bush....

No idea, but I have the same variety growing in a pot so I would like to know! I plan to stick it on an edge and trail it over my grass. Also it will be next to the peas, which are usually dead by August and so I could have it take over their trellis.

Yes it is sort of vine-like but a lot shorter than other squash vines. I wrapped mine around 6 ft metal spiral supports last year, and they only grew about half way up them. They may have the ability to get a bit taller as I made the mistake of watering them with a sprinkler on a timer while away for vacation late summer -- the watering caused the lead end of the vines and many flowers to rot off my two acorn squash plants. I only got 1 acorn squash off each vine because of my mistake. As the vines grew I just wrapped them around the support. You could probably do the same with the twine trellis nets with the big squares, just weave the vine back and forth thru the netting as it grows.
