Beautiful. Poor me, I have never seen anything but that sad stuff they sell in the grocery store. Your pic had me doing a double take. I am embarrased to ask, but that is broccoli right? Absolutely beautiful. Got me to thinking at least my kids will know what vegetables are supposed to look like.

Re: I AM A GARDENER!!!!!!
Yes, it's broccoli, and it was very received by all. In fact, I gave the baby a taste of it for a snack. Then, when I pulled it out again for everyone for dinner (with ranch), she very excitedly called out, "num, num, num, num" until I finally gave her some more. So fun. I'm also really excited about the benefits for my sweet kids. So far, so good.

Re: I AM A GARDENER!!!!!!
Thanks camprn and lentilsoup. All 3 of my girls have the same color. Always an easy conversation starter.
It WAS the best broccoli ever. The stalk has always been a favorite for me, and this stuff was to die for! Can't wait to get more.

Yum! I can't wait to grow broccoli this fall. I didn't put any in this last year because I didn't have the space. when I did have the space, it was already getting to hot here!

That is some beauty, you must be so proud.....of the broccoli, too!
It makes my heart swell when I see the little ones helping out, mine have been big helpers and it makes me feel good that they know where food comes from now....NOT the grocery store!

Beautiful picture! Love the colors... your daughter's hair is the same color as my son's beard! That's often a conversation starter, too! LOL

Re: I AM A GARDENER!!!!!!
My husband and I have green eyes, as does our oldest child. My second son has blue eyes, when he was younger people would ask him where he got them he would tell them "My grannies mailman", now that's a conversation starter.....
;)
