Let the growing begin!
Well my box is filled and squared off! Peas, carrots, lettuce, radishes, and some herbs are in. Re-thinking the herbs though, I am reluctant to give them a couple of my squares. I may just keep the chives and garlic and move the rest of the herbs to a patio planter.
Will also be starting garbage bag potatoes when the rain is done.
Will say a little prayer tonight to keep the critters at bay.

Sounds like you've got a good plan.
I, too, put the herbs in containers this year so I could grow veggies in the squares.
Besides, herbs take less care, less watering and they don't need the rich soil like veggies.

I bought a Greek oregano plant last week and planted it one of my squares. Looks very nice. THEN I read all about it and found that it grows large and invasive, so tomorrow it will be transplanted into a pot.

I know what you mean. I planted dill, sage and lemon thyme. The dill will grow really big too. Out it comes.

Congratulations on getting your SFG planted! Pics soon, I hope!
I've got all my herbs in pots, because I didn't want to sacrifice squares for them! Then I found out how invasive some of them can be, and I was glad I had put them in pots. If they ever get put into a bed, it will be a dedicated herb bed.

For me mint, tyme, and oregino are in pots. Rosemary and dill are in the TT box. Once the Rosemary gets too big I will transplant it but they are slow growers, so that can wait.

Re: Let the growing begin!
Thanks for the replys. I will definitely be moving my herbs to an old strawberry planter that will do nicely for the herbs. Green onions and an extra tomato plant will fill up my SFG.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that no critters visited my newly planted seeds overnight.
Off to a good start!
