I was sifting my compost using this basket
don't make this mistake with your compost Dsc00382

It looks good and smells good
don't make this mistake with your compost Dsc00383

But look what I found in it
don't make this mistake with your compost Fishbonesincompost
very sharp bones
Last summer we went fishing and we caught several big catfish, I buried the fish heads and guts at the bottom of the compost pile, I forgot about the bones in the fish, some of those bones have a sharp saw like edge on them and are very sharp.

One of the important rules of making compost, don't put bones in the compost pile.

Do I see the first "compost necklace" coming? Sure, it looks like fish bones, but it was in the compost pile....lol.

Josh, I love your use of the veggie storage basket as a sifter for your compost. Good idea.
It looks so rich and beautiful.
