after I got all 12 (!) volunteer potato plants transplanted out of the compost pile into the garden, I found two fat healthy pumpkin sprouts in there. That's got to be what they are, courtesy of the Halloween pumpkins I composted. I don't have enough room in any of my boxes for something that takes up so much space so I put them in the ground along my fence. So now I'm growing pumpkins, I'm so excited!
I just can't pass up volunteer plants. It's a sickness.
