Just tell that baby it's not allowed to come out until it get to be 7 pounds! That's what I told my twins. They mostly listened, 6-10 and 6-12. They would have waited but the Dr wanted to take them out before they got too big.
I hope all goes well and your baby listens to you! "Stay in your Womb!"

I am glad to know that you're feeling our support. I haven't had tough prenancies, but did have a scary trip to the ER with my middle kiddle that really shook the priority vine. And as hard as it was, and still is to think about at times, I draw on the strength I gained, and the increased love for my precious family, on a regular basis. Ibelieve that God gives us trials to prove us worthy of the blessings he has in store for us.
And I'm so happy to know duct comes in clear. What a great world we live in. Best of luck getting through, and rising to the top of this rough patch.

Thanks everyone ...
Made the most of a Easter in the hospital & even managed to invoke a few laughs from some very pregenant and very grumpy preggos who were sharing our situation this Easter ..
We are off "delivery watch" effective yesterday & have finished the steroid treatments. It's just a waiting game now.
There is a small chance that they could consider sending us home for a little bit, once we pass 28 weeks, but I'm not betting on that happening.
...but baby is doing great ..... mom and dad are looking a little rough .... but babys fine...LOL

Thank goodness!!! Thanks so much for posting, Acara. I think everybody's been holding their collective breaths awaiting news. Many more prayers and good thoughts heading your family's way, though, let's keep a good thing going!

Wonderful to hear, Acara!
I was a high-risk pregnancy. My mom had an undiscovered heart problem, and I tried to come at 28 weeks. 41 years ago, that was a much more grave situation than it is now.
They stopped her labor, and I was born two weeks late (42 weeks) -- weighing only 5 1/2 pounds. My mom went into heart failure while in labor, and that's how they found her heart problem. She has an artificial valve that's only 6 weeks younger than I am.
My pregnancies weren't high-risk, but they made me extremely ill. I was threatened with bed rest if I didn't start gaining weight.
Enough about me.
I am so glad to hear your little baby is staying put for now! I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Like they've said already, make sure to take care of yourself, because your wife and baby need you to be in good shape!

YAY!! Thought about your little 'mater all weekend and kept sending little prayers his/her way. How many more weeks would they like for baby to wait?

I've been out of town - away from my computer - for several days and just got caught up on the news. I will definitely be praying for all 3 of you. Thank you for the updates. Like the others have said, be sure to take care of yourself so you can be your best for them.

Perfect world ..... about 13 more weeks

We've got better odds to being hit by lightning, while collecting our check from having the winning Powerball numbers this week, than we have of going 13 more weeks like this .... so we are just hoping for "as long as we can get".

So glad to here you've cleared the first major hurdle. Hear's hoping you get to stay in hospital long enough to hire an interior decorator! LOL
God bless you, mom, and wee little acara.

Big prayers for you, sir....and I use that last term loosely.
I have a couple of friends that just went through something similar, and they made it. Medical advances have also come a long way, as you know. So, I hope for the best along with you. No one deserves a positive outcome more than you do from what little I've read of your story.

Ultrasound + imaging software + engineering major + photoshop + AutoCad plotter + bored parents stuck in hospital room = self-made motivational posters
Whenever we get a little down or think we can't take much more of this .... we now have a wall size banner hanging in the hospital room for motivation.
FTB = For The Baby
26 week picture of the munchkin via "Critter-Cam"

.... glad at least one of the three of us is catching some decent sleep through all of this ...LOL

Oh Acara, how precious - do we have a name?
May your little one grow as big and healthy as
the WFET you gave me.
Hugs and prayers for you all.

That is probably the first ultrasound picture that I've seen that I actually can make out strong features. Good Job. And goodie, 26 weeks. I'm hoping the collective prayers, good wishes, kharma, whatever will keep "Critter" safe and in place for a while yet.
As Boffer said, it is hard to type with the fingers crossed, and hard to walk with the toes crossed, but I'm trying to keep doing both. And the eyes.

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm flabbergasted. I have never seen a photo like that one. WOW! What a great idea to plaster your wall with it! What hope it brings!
Now you know Acara, you have to keep that one, because when that kid is a teenager, you are going to want to pull it out and tell him/her for the 1001th time just how much you sacrificed and belabored over him/her and how much he/she is indebted to your loving watchfulness and worry and concern (really stress the emotional suffering part) and, well, just trust me, it will be a great tool for future years.

That is awesome. My kids are much older and still don't look that good in pictures. Technology is really something.
