Not exactly eye candy, but it did it's job well and only cost a few quarters in nylon string and screws.

I loved this trellis !! I thought it was so slick and nifty looking last year Smile I like things like this a lot.

I may just have to go on a 'search & rescue' mission to find me some good lookin' sticks! I think I could DO this! Thanks for the REALLY COOL idea!

Thanks all for your kind words about the trellis. You can definitely do this goosegirl!

My daughter liked the snap peas so much last year that I’m planting 3 squares this season so I just built my one trellis a companion. Takes maybe two hours once you have the materials together.

If you try it and have any questions just let me know!

Best,

One of our trees has a lot of suckers that I have to cut back. I think I just found my sticks!

That is really nice Marc. I'm going to file that away for when I need a smaller trellis. I really like the rustic and organic feel of it.

Hey acara. After weighing my options, I think yours is the winner. So what materials have you used here? And would it be strong enough to hold watermelon, 3 maters, cukes and peas? (Do zucchinis need to be trellised?) I'm ready to get started.

Thanks a million!

Here is one more to consider. Another forum member suggested that I consider an arched cattle panel for watermelons:
