Average amount of squash?
I am planning on planting yellow crooked neck squash. I have no idea how many plants to put in my garden. I know this really is an unpossible question, but I am going to ask. If the squash borerers and weather don't wipe me out, about how many squash does one plant produce? Does the plant produce one squah at a time or will there be numerous fruits at one picking?
Thanks in advance,
Heidi

Average amount of squash?
Last year I planted two squash plants and had plenty of squash. The crook neck will produce fairly well, depending on your area. Mine had anywhere from 1 to 5 going at one time. I planted 6 squashes this year so should have plenty for our family and the rest of the clan that shows up from time to time.
Enjoy the garden.
