OH-NO!!!!

I just realized that I planted all the possible seeds in their holes
now...not "as many as I want to come up in x number of weeks, and then
in 2 more weeks plant more" advice. Now I'm going to have ALL of my
spinach, lettuce, broccoli, etc. come up at one time! Shocked Oh Shoot! Now what?! I really wanted a continuous harvest all season long.

No worries, you will just harvest baby greens and then a little older than baby greens and then mature greens. Smile

But once the head is all the way up/grown, then it's done, right? I won't get anymore this season? Sad

Ahhhh....see what I get for being a know-it-all, Bad Jennie, bad!

I was thinking loose leaf lettuce, not head lettuce.

Well then...you will have a lot of lettuce at once! Share and tuck that tidbit in your cap for next year. Smile

You could pull up some of what you have...get some more seed and succession plant if you want to. Do you have time in your season to do that?

Well at least broccoli freezes well. Do you have friends that garden maybe you can trade some of your harvest with them. Start some seeds to transplant into empty harvested squares and it wont take so long for the next harvest. I don't know about you but I can eat salad every day Smile

You see, we OCD gals are on the same wave length! Laughing I was just thinking to myself...how crazy would I be to pull up some when it sprouts, then wait the 2 weeks and plant again? I couldn't tell anyone else that, they would think I was really off my rocker! LOL! But I just might do it!

Edited to add:
Okay, so I just looked at my handy-dandy planting chart, and I was actually a few days late on the cut-off already for planting my spinach and broccoli. So I guess it's a real good thing I got it all in the ground yesterday!
The carrots and lettuce I might thin out so I can keep a fresh batch going throughout the Summer.

Pole Beans, Cucumbers, Tomatoes & Peppers: You plant all at once and they just keep on producing, right? No need to stagger your plantings?

I wouldn't worry as much about the carrots. They are slow to mature (slower than the packet says) and they keep for quite awhile in the soil under a layer of mulch. But, lettuce I would definitely stagger if I could.

The veggies in bold will continue to produce until frost, so no need to stagger plant the pole beans, cucumber, tomatoes and peppers. That is assuming they are indeterminate tomatoes, the viney ones. Determinates (bushy ones) typically produce their crop mostly at the same time and then stop producing new tomatoes.
