Hi I'm Buttaflie Empty Hi I'm Buttaflie

Post  buttaflie143 4/7/2011, 10:41 pm

I'm a SAHM (stay at home mommy) of three - two year old boy/girl twins and a six year old son in the first grade. I currently attend UOP, hoping to come away with a degree in Elem. Ed. and my new (started last spring) hobby/passion/obsession is square foot gardening. Mel's book is wonderful, afterall everything I did last year was done according to a book from the bookstore or a website. I had no prior gardening knowledge. Just proves that we plant, but it is Jehovah who makes it grow Very Happy . My garden faired well, but I would like to do much better this season. My goal is to garden year round and to make my own compost. Whew! I said it out loud. Hi I'm Buttaflie 601593 Let the gardening begin!!!!!

Howdy! You have found a great place to hang out and learn about SFG or contribute and help others learn from your experiences. Pictures are worth 1000 words in helping us solve problems or just to brag about your accomplishments.

Great to have you here!

Hi, Buttaflie, I was a SAHM, too~~ well, still am, but my kiddos are not little anymore. I graduated with an elem ed (Interdisciplinary Studies) degree in 2009 but am not teaching. I have heard they will be making some pretty serious teacher layoffs across TX - have already started, so maybe that wasn't in the cards for me anyway, lol... I also love SFG or what I know of it so far~~ I'm an SFG newbie. Welcome and glad to see you!!

Hi I'm Buttaflie 654548 Buttaflie

How nice to have you join us. We have several members in your area.

SFG is such a great way to introduce children to gardening. They pick up so much more than you imagine. Twin 2 yo are certainly a challenge by themselves.

Glad you had a productive year with your first SFG, hope this year is even better. Ask questions when you have them and keep us updated on your progress.

Again, Welcome

Hi I'm Buttaflie Empty WELCOME TO THE SFG FAMILY!!

Post  luckypenne 6/17/2013, 11:26 am

Another SAHM (homeschooling mom) here ~ just got back after having some challenges with the Facebook log-in. LUV your awesome username :-) http://budurl.com/MarkBHG (This links to my son's Butterfly Hero Garden.)

Packing up for a pending relocation to the Carolinas, and Raleigh is a definite possibility! We're looking at Holly Springs (near the nuclear plant) ~ any garden-friendly communities in the area that you can recommend?

Penne, I simply have to point out this is a two year old dead thread...... this person has not been on the forum for nearly two years.

Thanks again, camprn -- boffer helped me adjust my date settings to include the year LOL Before that, it looked like every thread I posted in was current, but hopefully Buttaflie still gets forum notifications and may decide to pop in again. Her gardens are gorgeous in the Mid-South forum!!
