New garden plan - thanks for your input
We're going to give this another go. Please continue to give me suggestions and input.
Dill, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon
Strawberry, summer squash, cabbage, garlic
Corn, spinach, lettuce, carrots, pumpkin
Corn, broccoli, carrots
Some little notes: north is at top of picture, where I will have a trellis (or 2). The west side of the box is deeper (about 12 squares of that side), so there will be 12" of MM in it for the carrots. I left 4 squares for the pumpkin and watermelon to allow their sprawl, and they can spill out of the box if needed (although keeping the critters away from the outside of the box is something I'm not sure how to do...)
Thanks a whole bunch!
Tracy

Oh, it was so super easy. Go to http://www.gardeners.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-Gardeners-Site/default/Page-KGPJS. I just googled "free online garden planning" or something, and this is what I found.
I'm so happy to have finally answered someone else's question! I've been on the receiving end up to this very point.

Your squash, if it is a vine type, is really going to spread all over the box unless you can figure out how to trellis it. Even then I'd give it at least another square of space. If it is a bush type it will need 9 sq. ft. Cabbage doesn't like to be near lettuce. Otherwise, the plan looks pretty good to me.

Winner winner chicken dinner...
The only planning stuff I've found was from premium services you have to pay for. I'm happy to know there is something for free that I can tinker with.
