Just looked at the weather report... we are expected to get down to 28° tonight with a chance of snow for pete's sake!

Looking a light frost here too I think. 28 though....YUCK. I was lazy a few days ago and we had a forecast of 36 but left the hoops off thinking that the lettuce and broc would be fine (and they were) but totally forgot about the potatoes. Had some significant damage. Have them heavily mulched and hooped tonight.

Looks like NE corner of NC is going to dodge the bullet this time. Sun and mon night put a layer of frost on all my plants, but they came through ok. All cool weather crops. FarmerValerie kept saying there was another frost out there lurking, so I held off on my warm weather stuff.

Actually it was my swollen tail bone that said another cold snap was on it's way, I felt it coming. That's what I get for making fun of old men and their gout when I was a kid.....
